ABOUT THE AUDITION
We need a cast of strong dancers ages sixteen and older of all backgrounds and genders.
All performers should be strong dancers. Those auditioning for lead roles must be strong, experienced singers. For those auditioning for the ensemble, previous singing experience isn’t required.
Auditionees only need to bring a good attitude, all schedules for the next few months, and their beautiful selves. The team will teach a song excerpt and a short dance combination during auditions.
Anyone who wants to help with the production in any capacity should attend auditions.
For those selected, callbacks will be Thursday, June 11, at 6:00 PM.
Mean Girls is rated PG-13 for language and adult themes, so please be advised.
ABOUT THE MUSICAL
Mean Girls is a high-energy stage musical based on the 2004 film. Cady Heron, a former homeschooled student from Africa navigates the vicious social hierarchy of public high school. She infiltrates the "Plastics," led by queen bee Regina George. Will she lose herself to popularity before learning the importance of friendship and being true to herself?

A new junior at North Shore High School. Cady is warm, bright, and strong enough to take on The Plastics.

Regina

Queen Bee of the Plastics. Regal, still, and “hot”, but at most vulnerable moments, Regina is just a kid.

Janis
TEEN
An “Art Freak” and social outcast, Janis is not afraid to be weird or make others uncomfortable.

Damian
TEEN
Fiercely loyal friend to Janis and they have the close rapport of a comedy team.

Gretchen
TEEN
One of the Plastics. Desperate to please Regina, Gretchen is a nervous wreck whose fragility is sometimes heartbreaking.

Karen

One of the Plastics. Not a brainiac, but this teen is essentially kind, relaxed, and has a generous laugh.

Aaron (Age 18+)
TEEN
Aaron likes the attention, but this budding pop tenor isn’t going to be a pawn in the Plastic’s chess game.

ADULT
Great singer. Distinctly defines these three characters. Eclectic Broadway vocal mix.

Mr. Duvall
ADULT
The principal of North Shore High. Not even teaching at a penitentiary could prepare him for the harsh realities of high school.
Kevin G.

Kevin is the extremely driven captain of the North Shore Mathletes and a decent rapper.
