July - September 2026 Highlights
October is National Arts and Humanities Month, and may I say—there is no moment in my lifetime when celebrating those things has been more timely or important!
As a beloved AACA sponsor you are participating in a time-honored McMinn County tradition of support for the arts.
Your sponsorship is a cherished recognition of the rich, intangible meaning the arts add to our lives—and we do not take it for granted. In a very real sense, all of our programming—and our very existence as a non-profit—is dependent upon your support. From exhibits to art classes to musical performances; to community theatre, play reading, theatre and arts camps and more—we are in a vital relationship with you that ensures that all of our citizens have access to the inspiration and healing power of the arts.
October brings us ACT's provocative drama, The Crucible by Arthur Miller in the Sue E. Trotter Black Box Theater, October 2-11.
Coming right up on October 10th is Friendly City Festivals' Pumpkintown—one of Athens most beloved festivals and a great opportunity to experience arts and cultural experiences all around downtown.
We'll be offering free pumpkin painting and selfies with our Pumpkin House at The Arts Center from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Come and join us!
Thank you for all that you do!
Onward!
Ellen Kimball, Interim Executive Director
