They are teachers, mothers, professionals, partners, and leaders…but first, they were sisters. See local sibling favorites Abriel, Angel, and Ashley Hardaway, Lindsey Kimball and Jennifer Nunley, Liz Schreck and Emily Arrington, Whitney Coe and Lauren Shepherd, and Sarah, Miriam, Claire, and Emily Offutt in Sisters.

Sisters Jennifer Nunley and Lindsey Kimball have been performing together most of their lives, but it wasn’t until they formed September Song with Kimball’s then boyfriend, Andrew Kimball, that the two started performing together regularly. They are usually joined by the rest of September Song: Joe Littleton and Liz Schreck. Comfortable singing everything from folk and country to Broadway show tunes, the duo enjoy collaborating on songs with tight interwoven harmonies.

Lauren Brown Shepherd and Whitney Kimball Coe are sisters of the heart. They have shared some of life’s greatest milestones since babyhood, even attending the same university in Charlotte, North Carolina, and singing together in multiple choirs, starting with Athens Area Children’s Choir and progressing to Queens University Chamber Singers and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Choir. Lauren and Whitney are grateful for the opportunity to perform as sisters and lifelong friends.

As twin sisters growing up, Emily and Liz were musically and theatrically influenced by their mother, Pam Thigpen. Liz Schreck continues this passion for music as a singer in September Song. Although Emily Arrington resides in Ringgold, Georgia, she still shares the joy and nostalgia of being able to perform with her sister.

The Offutt sisters have enjoyed singing together at home for years where any prompting, even daily conversation, might result in them bursting into song. Five of the sisters, Rachel, Sarah, Miriam, Claire, and Emily will join in the show. They have performed with multiple church choirs and theater groups, and enjoy sharing the stage with each other.

Joining last year’s Sisters cast are Abriel, Angel, and Ashley Hardaway, who have sung together their entire lives in school, church, and events. Last May, they stunned the audience during AACA’s Sock Hop with their gorgeous voices, pitch-perfect harmonies, and solid musicianship. They join the cast of Sisters this year with another set of songs sure to wow concert-goers.

The House Blend Concert Series gives stand–out local talent the opportunity to perform in a professional setting and allows the audience to experience an intimate concert in a world–class atmosphere.
