Artist talk by Nancy Fischman

An Arts on the Side Event

Tuesday August 1, 2017 at noon

Willson Exhibit Room

This month, the community is invited to learn more about the artist’s various processes in creating unique and thought-provoking ceramics such as firing atmospheres for her stoneware pieces, including gas reduction to wood, wood-salt, and gas-fired soda, as well as treatments with engobes using a paper resist technique, carving, or impressed template forms to create surface patterns, and glazing with at least two different glazes to add to surface interest.

Arts on the Side is our monthly program where we invite the public to bring their lunch and enjoy a free arts program. “You bring lunch; the art is on us!”
