A favorite of The Arts Center staff, the acoustic violin/guitar/upright bass trio starts with traditional jazz and kicks it up with an exciting combination of European, South American, and classical music to create a sound with a gypsy flavored spirit. Equally at home with Chopin, Gershwin, and Ellington, the Hombres’ international flair incorporates original riffs and melodies. Favorites on the Nashville scene, their high level of musicianship have led each of the musicians to play and study with a host of well-regarded performers. An original commissioned piece featuring the band was broadcast on NPR in tribute to the legendary gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt.
