Achieve varied and exciting effects in your paintings using non-traditional materials, including sponges, cardboard, salt, starch, sticks and/or plastic wrap in this “anything goes” session. Projects will be available emphasizing specific techniques or students may bring their own paintings to work on. Prerequisites: prior watercolor experience or completion of Level I Beginning Watercolor with this instructor.
Supply List (everyone bring from home)
Large plastic container for water (about 1 quart capacity)
Roll of masking tape
Roll of paper towels
Flat tray to use as palate (cookie sheet or similar)
1 flat everyday paintbrush (2 in. min. width)
Included in the Optional Materials Fee of $18.00 (or bring your own)
Set of student grade tube watercolor paints
140 lb. cold-pressed watercolor paper
Watercolor brushes (min. of 3, sizes #4, #10, #14)
Painting board (plywood, masonite, or plexiglass about 24” x 30”)
