Carolyn Hart wrote a novel entitled “A Little Class on Murder,” itself a mystery novel, which discusses the works and historical importance of three “grand dames” of detective fiction. This class will examine and discuss the Hart novel as well as one work by each of the “grand dames”: Agatha Christie, Dorothy L. Sayers, and Mary Roberts Rinehart. The aim of the class is to promote understanding and enjoyment of the detective fiction genre. A reading list will be provided.
